CircleHouse

Small groups,
actually talking.

A circle is a few people who are into the same thing. Not a feed of strangers, not an algorithm deciding what you meant — just the people who turned up for the same reason you did.

Not on the App Store yet — it is in testing.

How it works

Three things, and nothing much else.

Join a circle

Pick the things you are actually into. Every circle is a subject, not a person to follow.

Say something

Posts, photos and replies. The people who see it are the people in the circle — that is the whole audience.

Somebody runs it

Each circle has an owner and moderators, with the tools to keep it the place it was meant to be.

What it does with your data

Your location is used once, on the device, to work out how far away a circle is — it is never shared and never tracked in the background. Nobody can read a private circle, and the people in a circle are not listed to anybody outside it. The whole policy is written to be read rather than skipped.
